One of our ladies in our Pinterest group had an idea for us to do bags for our projects. The idea was to Keep Calm and Pinterest On!
I got some iron on vinyl and using the Cricut cut out the letters and ironed them on to the bag.

The Technique Twist # 22- Triple Stamping
It is another fun technique challenge over at The Technique Twist doing Triple Stamping.
I had a hard time finding a stamp that would be large enough for the triple stamping. I decided on a Retired Stamp to create a fun spring, Mother's Day like card using the big tree. I have always loved this tree because you can color it for either spring or fall depending on the season you want to convey.
My twist on it was to actually twist the paper when I stamped on the card. I than using my little ink dauber and inked the sides around the card.
Thanks for stopping by!

My Pumpkin Challenge- Special Moments
I haven't participated in a few months on My Pumpkin Challenge but I have loved seeing the great projects they have created. I haven't felt totally inspired by the paper pumpkin that has come in. Honestly I was just going to make a graduation card like the kit and be done with it but than it hit me to do a coordinating page and card to give as a gift to a upcoming graduate. I need to find a fun frame for the page.

Stampin Up Retiring Products
It is both a sad time for Stampin Up because well some beloved things are retiring but the good news is that new stuff is on its way here starting June 1 when the new catalog launches. Another good thing is free shipping from April 21- 25 which means you can get some of your beloved stuff retiring shipped for free. So if anyone orders and you don't already have a demonstrator, make sure to mark me down Rebecca Benson (I sure appreciate it).
Also Project Life Products can be ordered starting May 1 and that is a cool thing as well!
Here is a link to the retiring items:http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=1894

Vinyl Family Frame
I pulled the Cricut out again and have been making things like crazy with it more because I REALLY want the new Explore that just came out so I am saving my funds for it.
I made this sign using a frame I had on hand and cut out using various cartridges to make the sign. I love how it turned out and it would be a great gift to give someone.

Pear Hot Pads
I have had this set to make placemats but I was uninspired by that so I decided instead to make a set of cute pear shaped hot pads.

Some Modern Whimsy
I love the challenges going n over at the Technique Twist as well as Unscripted Sketches so I used both ideas of the Modern Whimsy with the sketch here:
So combining the two and using some the new SU Sweetie Pie Set (which I LOVE) I created a card using the basic ideas of both concepts.

April Pinterest Party Projects
There is a group of eight of us including myself that do a bimonthly Pinterest Party where half the group brings a project to share for us (we swap out). This month we had some great projects and one project that we loved the concept of but in practice didn't work.
Here are some photos of our projects:
Here are some photos of our projects:
Decorated Mason Jar Cup from Lisa L.
Lisa found these awesome mason jars from Target in both clear and blue. We added washi tape around the rim of the cap and of course the fun chalk board accent to write a message or a name.
Lavender Sugar Scrub by Karen
I LOVE this one so much and it was so was to make. We used two cups of sugar, 1/4 cup of lavender baby wash and 1/4 cup of baby oil. Just mix it up. to add the purple color, I did two drops of blue and two drops of red and mixed till the perfect purple came out.
I washed my hands after I finished it and they were so smooth after using the scrub. I plan on using these for Xmas presents.
Cupacake Holder by Jessica
This was so much fun and Jessica did lots of prep for us by pre painting the terra cotta pot and saucer. We glued the saucer to the pot and than mod podged the paper on to the inside of the saucer. I love the print fun summer color and can see so many uses for it other than cupcakes. Won't this be a fun gift to give with a plate of cupcakes!!!
Our fail pinterest was using wax paper to transfer a design to a candle using sharpies and a heat gun. The pictures on the inspiration project were awesome and we all even played with it for a bit. We all thought what great applications it would be for gifts. I am still working on trying to figure it out so we can try it again. I have to say this was our first project to not come out like Pinterest (we have had tons of food ones).
I wish I would have taken pics of our food as well because everything we had was wonderful. I will be making mine for sure again as well as Cindy's pull apart pizza bread (or as we duped it pizza monkey bread).
Thanks
Becky
Hoppy Easter
I love me some banners and created this one using chalkboard paper, my cricut and some SU sizzlits.
I also created a fun printable using MDS as well as that cute punch art bunny. Also I made some fun pinwheels in pastel colors using SU DSP.
Hoppy Easter!

Frozen Birthday Party
My non girly girl decided on a Frozen theme for her birthday party this year and well I have to say I loved pulling it together and it was super easy and actually inexpensive.
I used Pinterest and picked a teal color scheme to reflect ice.
The first craft/project I had for the kids were to decorate a goodie bag like Olaf and than to build a snowman using some fun food items. This was such a big hit.
I also used blue with the food. I made a punch using some Hawaiian punch and lemon lime soda. I found Blue Velvet cake mix to make cupcakes (there wasn't one left of the two dozen I made).
I loved the "Melted Snowman" which a bunch just took home for later. I also did a summer craft because Olaf loves summer time.
Here is my little girl and me in our Frozen mash up shirts we got from Teefury. Miss O's was called Frozen in Time which was had Elsa freezing the TARDIS from Doctor Who. She just loved that shirt.
Mine was Game of Thrones which no kids got but every parent sure laughed at it.
Overall we had a great party and the kids had a blast. Miss O got some nice presents which included a lot of Legos which is her most favorite toy currently. Her one friend got her a Captain America set which was instantly put together.

Twisted Challenge #21- Modern Whimsy
So over at the Technique Twist our challenge is Modern Whimsy. For me the Modern Whimsy style is layers and layers so I did a digital page with TONS of layers and different elements.
I used the picture inspire my color scheme. This is my daughter at her first archery lesson with Brownies. She did unbelievable and can not wait to do it again. That kid hit multiple bull eyes and has been asking for a bow of her own. We might have found a sport she is actually good at!
I started the page with a solid background and just layered and layered. I think I could still put more layers on it. I love how I cascaded the flowers down the side of the picture and how they lend them selves well to the idea behind both the the sweet girl and sassy sport of archery.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out the other great projects the DT did for this challenge.

Canvas Tote Bag
I so feel in love with this canvas fabric at HL when I was there. I guess this means I should not walk through the fabric department any more.
Anyways I put it together in about 45 minutes and love how it turned out. I love all the cars on it especially the little bug.

Paper Flowers
I went last month to my SU demo Stamp club and my upline upline showed us this cute and quick pencil topper using the new fringe scissors. I don't have the fringe scissors but I have made the flowers in felt already so I went a head and made a few and added them into the little milk bottle I had picked up a few weeks ago. I think this would make a great gift.
I used a strip of 3inch by 12 inch piece of DSP which I folded in half and adhered using double sided tape. I than fringed it on the other side, rolled onto the pencil using double sided tape and made a cute little hostess gift for a workshop I held for a friend.

Kid's Apron
My Mom had my niece over a few weeks ago and she always wants to help in the kitchen, so my Mom asked if I could make Miss P an apron so that she doesn't get dirty or wet. I thought sure why not and made a so very simple one that can grow with her. My model Lumpy wants one of his own s I have to see if I have boyish fabric in my stash or what I can find at the fabric store.
