Teacher Gift Wreaths

12:00 AM 0 Comments
I decided to show case the wreaths I did for Mr. L's Preschool Teachers. I love how they turned out and I might make myself one with the burlap and blue chevron.  I also had these cute birdie signs I had picked up after Easter and cut out letters for the teachers so they can display their names in the rooms next year.

I just adore these teachers and they are just great ladies!

Captain America Shield Headpiece

4:30 PM 0 Comments
We saw these all over the Comic Convention on Sunday and I told Miss O that I could make her one. So today I dug through my stash and found red, white and blue felt. It came together pretty quick. The only hiccup- I found something that I need to cut with the deep cut blade on my Cricut. I had to hand cut the circles out.

Flower Power Jar

12:00 AM 1 Comments

I saw someone with a whole bouquet of paper flowers on one of the FB pages I follow and so I have been wanting to make them. I have rosettes that I made by cutting out a spiral piece of paper and spiraling it around a stick. I than added using DSP some of the other flowers I love to make and filled the cute jar I had with some moss. I love that these will always be in bloom!

Water Bottle Do up

5:34 PM 0 Comments

Have I said how much I love my new Cricut. I use it all the time.

My Dear Daughter found this water bottle at the Disney store and SHE LOVES Capt. America, so we got it.

I found some Avengerisque Free Font and uploaded it into my font book which my cricut populates.

I than cut it out and stuck it on the water bottle. She told me so many kids liked it.

Little Presents

12:00 AM 0 Comments
Monthly I go to a Demos club for SU and we do a swap of both cards and 3D items.  This month I made a fun card using some of the new limited DSP and I took a brad box and decorated it to make a mini album holder.  How cute would that be in your purse to pull out pics of your loved ones.

More 3D Cards

12:00 AM 1 Comments

We still have another week with 3D flowers over at The Technique Twist.

Mother's Day was awesome at my house and I got a brand spanking new Cricut Explore to use.

I was so excited and used it all day that I was worried I was wearing out the cutting mat.

I made this card using both the Cricut and Clipart from SU MDS.

You can save the brush stamps  and import them into the Cricut Design Space.

So I took the pretty flower and imported it into the CDS and started cutting.

Than I used the pen to draw the flower out and than I punched it out and added it to the center. The flower is raised up using dimensionals.

4th Bag

12:00 AM 0 Comments
I love the 4th of July because of just how down home it is. I love the red, white and blue colors. I love decorating for it starting June 1 and of course I love looking the part on the 4th.

I saw this really cute bag on JoAnn's and decided to make it. Well to be honest with you the instructions were horrible. There was missing information so I winged it and well I really like how it turned out. The last minute addition was adding the monogram B on the front which I just cut out with my cricut.

TTTC #23- 3D Flowers

12:00 AM 1 Comments

This week over at the Technique Twist we are adding 3D flowers on to our projects. I got my demo delivery at the start of the week and all the new stuff coming was in there. I used the new SU cardstock in colors as well as the Work of Art set.

My flowers are using the big spiral flower die both out of cardstock and DSP.

I was inspired by a card we had made  in a demo club a few months ago.

Project Life Stampin up Style

12:00 AM 0 Comments
I have so been wanting to try Becky Higgins Project Life scrapbook stuff but I am so loyal to SU that I was hesitate. I admit to buying the Project Life albums since SU doesn't carry them any more but the rest I just was unsure. So when I hear that Project Life and SU were teaming up I was so excited. As soon as Demos could order the stuff, I did and it arrived with in days. I am so in love with it. I already started four pages with it with plans for more. Here are the four pages I have. I am planning on doing a large year in review using it and I so hope for more products.

I love having the SU colors and papers in the Project Life format. Which means I can use my existing SU stuff and it will coordinate. You can order it here at this link:

http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=1800

Here is what I got to start off:

1 package of the 12x12 Project Life variety sheets
The project Life stickers and accessory pack
The Project Life variety card pack
The Project Life coordinating stamp set.

All of it is fun to work with and makes a quick dynamic page that you can have as much or little as you like. Love the idea of using the compartments to make what I want to make!

Teacher Appreciation Week

12:00 AM 0 Comments
It is Teacher Appreciation week at my daughter's school and she has an AWESOME teacher. I was so lucky with who she got this year (okay maybe luck didn't play that big a part in it). Her teacher Mrs. M is a friend (I have known her pre kids). So of course I need to spoil her because she both a great person and great teacher.

So here is my first project - some lovely paper flower pencils for her desk. I admit to being obsessed with paper flowers lately. I have making them constantly for people. They are a quick and easy gift to make and well they never die on you.

Stampin Up's New Catalog

12:00 AM 0 Comments
I was lucky enough to go on Monday night for the Stampin Up Catalog Premiere Party that was held at movie theaters around the US. I had never been to an event like this before and was excited to go with my up-line and other demonstrators in the area.

We were able to see a live stream of previews of some of the awesome new products that SU will be offering once the catalog goes live for customers come June 1. Sneak Peeks started May 1 for Demos that didn't get to go on Monday as well as ordering some of the new sets that are going to be offered.

Here is a peek of the catalog cover- this is the only thing we are allowed to show online from it and we are able to showcase some projects we made!

Here are some projects I made using the new stamp set they gave us at the event called Work of Art.

This page is inspired from a project in the Idea book.

Using one of my pumpkin kits bags, I decorated the gift bag and attached the card. I love the thank you!

A chevron bag done up using the same idea.

A fun card inspired by the new set.

Another card inspired by the Idea book and stamp set.

It was a fun night and I loved seeing all the new things. I have been pouring over the catalog every day since I got it and already did my sneak peek order to plan for a card class!

Thanks

Becky
