Dr. Who pillows

12:00 AM 0 Comments

If you know me well, you know I love Doctor Who specifically number 10 David Tennant. Though I know this is more 11 in the saying but I love it and decided to use my skills to make me some adorable pillows for my chairs. I love nerdy crafts. It is cuddle and cute. My son loves the Van Gogh inspired Tardis print which I got at Joann fabrics. I was just looking for blue fabric and saw this and had to have it.

It took longer to cute out the HTV for the pillow than to actually make the pillows. It feels good to sew even if it is a simple sewing job.

Monogram Pocket Tee

12:00 AM 0 Comments

I have been really wanting to make a monogram pocket tee which are all the rage now. I finally got around to it and created this tee from a shirt I had on hand as well as scrap fabric in my stash.

I cut out a pocket from this fun lined fabric. I think it was left over from a quilt project. I wanted something nautical looking because I so wanted to do a monogram anchor for the pocket. I sewed the pocket on and than using my trusty Cricut (I love this machine so much and use it for so many things), I created my anchor monogram slicing and welding things together.

I than cut it out using blue HTV (I would have liked a tad darker but used what I had on hand).

I really like how it turned out. I made a tee for my kiddo using some left over Avenger fabric I had on hand for her. I had to make sure Capt. america was on it.

Cute Bike Pillow

12:00 AM 0 Comments

I love my cricut so much and sometimes I see an idea and I run with it. Yes it is a problem.

I cut out this cut bike using shiny HTV alone with the cute saying and heat pressed it on.

I than cut out the cute banner out of fabric and just pinned it on. I think it is so cute and looks so cute in my room.

Turkey Day is around the Corner

I can not believe Thanksgiving is like two weeks away. It felt like it was just here and now a whole year as passed. I figure this is the last year I can make fun shirts for my oldest (youngest has a few more years).

I designed (with help from the little one) thier Thanksgiving shirts. Mr. L is well Doctor Who inspired. He was so excited when I showed it to him. My hubby laughed and said it was really cute.

Both shirts were a lot of cutting and piecing even using the Cricut and worth it because they turned out so cute!
